Title: P12 Wagon rear suspension
Post by: spider59 on 12 March, 2012, 12:27:40 PM
Can anyone help? I have a 2001 P12 25 wagon. It appears to have factory fitted Nismo suspension. It has factory Nissan 17" alloys and sits a lot lower than other P12's I have looked at.
The rear suspension is really soft and bouncy. With two people in the rear seats, it continually bottoms out. Not a nice ride at all. Im wanting to find out if there is a way of finding out if it is the strut inserts or the springs that are worn, or both.

for a start, if its soft and bouncy, the shocks are well past their use by date , always replace the known worn parts first

Those are the same coilovers as i have in my car. I'd say gettem if you can afford the $500. Its gonna cost you that much anyway.

The handeling difference is huge! Very impressed.

They are adjustable though so you would have to cert your car to get a warrant :-(

I see they have been relisted too....I'm tempted but then I'd need a cert. Rather wait and do it all at once if I put a hairdryer on.  ;D
