Drag day cruise

Anyone else keen to make a convoy from BP Drury in the morning down to Meremere?

Could be pretty cool if we can get the majority of the racers and spectators all heading down together!

Great idea James.

Keen as, what time are you thinking?

And also a good place to fill up with 'fresh' 98 for the racers.

Yup def keen for that..

IMHO I think we should make it a pretty early meet time there and a specified time to leave so that we are not held up getting cars there to get scrutineered/point people in the right direction etc. And by early I'm thinking of a time to LEAVE BP Drury of like 8am.. 20-ish minutes more to Meremere and then the mucking around getting cars scrutineered etc will mean ready to roll by about 9.30am. (obviously there will be people who wont/cant turn up till later but I reckon we try to cater for the majority ?)

What time are we expecting the out of towners to arrive ie. those coming up from Wellington, Palmy, Tauranga, Hamilton etc ?

Also.. I dont believe we have spoken about what we will do in the event that it is raining (or has been raining heavily the night before).. Greg - can you find out from Champion Dragway if are we able to postpone to a later date (not sure if everyone wants to do this even)?

8am sounds good. We should meet for a Macca's breakfast if anyone's keen to head in a tad earlier, say 7.30ish.

if your passing through Foxton going north on Hwy 1 , you could always get a monsta burger. By the time you got to auckland you would just be getting finished with it. You also wouldnt have to eat for at least two days after consumption. lol !

only con is you would need a huge bib while eating on the go, and a portable vaccuum to clean up the mess left in the car.

Not sure if I'll be out at my place, I might be staying at Neal's the night before to save me about 40 mins travelling time.

Luv ya Neal! :P :D
