Drag Day - Avgas
« on: 06 May, 2007, 01:43:13 PM »
Hey guys,
I saw a few people talking about getting Avgas for the drag day.
Im a pilot so I can get you some gas.
But as was said, it is leaded and it does screw your O2 sensor.
1-2 runs on it shouldnt do tooooo much to it.
But if you want to grab some, flick me a PM and we can sort something out.
(Ill try my best to not mix it up and get jet fuel...)
Cheers,
Jeremy

I'll deff grab some, no O2 sensor in my car, so all sweet.  How much is it per litre?  What sort of setup will you need, give you a gas can, or meet you at the field?  Im assuming you are at Ardmore?

Cheers

What is the octane rating on Avgas when compared to Shell Race Fuel (we have some of this sitting in the garage) ? Cos depending on this might also be keen on avgas for BANISH - it too has no 02 sensors..

Im pretty sure its 100 octane.
Dont quote me on that cause there is other rating systems as well, like 100/130 or something as well.
I know it isnt 130 octane  :o

once it goes off they sell it as "race fuel"  They can no longer use them in planes.... so if its at ardmore most likely it isnt off.... well lets hope its not  :o

Dont think avgas would do much to push the power of my 1600 so none for me... I dont even know if I have O2 sensors yet. hehehehe
