Hi Everyone,

I have a strange noise when I turn the wheels on my 1990 P10 eGT
see video
http://labarette.free.fr/xfer/P10Wheels.m4v

I'm also loosing liquid but checked all the levels (engine oil, brake fluid, water) its good

I've being doing drag race at the traffic lights to show the youngsters what a 30 years old SR20DE can do, I had this problems the next day.

Any ideas what I should do ?

Thanks for your help.

That's definitely the power steering pump running dry - check the power steering hoses for leaks, the high pressure hose from the pump to the joint up by the strut tower is the usual culprit.

Thanks for your help.
I think I found the high pressure hose (see picture)
But it's difficult to tell where the leak is.

Should I change it and see ?

Thanks

Yep that's definitely your issue - get that hose rebuilt, any competent hydraulic supply company should be able to sort it.

Thanks man, you saved my Primera !
Got the hose done.

All is good now, no more leaks, but a terrible smoke coming from the exhaust braid as it was soaking with fluid.
After 30 mm drive, it all burned away.
The car stinks but goes great. ;)
