Featured MOTM Wade: Wade-O July 2015

NZPPCC Member of the Month

NZPPCC: When and why did you first get your Primera / Pulsar?

Wade:

NZPPCC:  And what were your original plans for your car and how have they changed?

Wade:NZPPCC:  What performance modifications have you made to your car?

Wade:

NZPPCC: What mods have you made to the exterior/interior?

Wade:NZPPCC:  What do you love best about your Primera / Pulsar?

Wade: The confused look when you burn people off in their relatively standard RX-7, EVO and so on, in a naturally aspirated Pulsar.

NZPPCC:  Any future modifications planned that we should know about?

Wade:NZPPCC:  If money was no object what would you do to your car?

Wade:

NZPPCC:  Do you have any performance figures, 1/4 mile times or lap times?

Wade:NZPPCC:

Wade:NZPPCC:  Favourite television programme?

Wade: Vikings, Spartacus and Sons Of Anarchy are the top of the list!

NZPPCC:  Are you married, have a partner or are you single and looking?

Wade: Currently single.

NZPPCC:  What sort of cars have you owned in the past?

Wade: Toyota Corolla Diesel, Toyota Caldina, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Supra, Primera P11 TE-V, Bluebird U14 SSS-Z, Maxima (J30?) and my VZ-R :)

NZPPCC:  What is your favourite road to drive?

Wade: Going over he Rimutakas on SH2 or Paekak Hill.

NZPPCC:  Do you prefer show, street, circuit or drag?

Wade: Circuit is by far my favourite!

NZPPCC:

Wade: The N15 VZ-R would be my favourite; however a P10 or P11 are very close behind!

NZPPCC:

Wade: I found the club when searching up modifications for the VZ-R, I have gained a lot of knowledge about cars from this car club and have met a lot of cool people.

NZPPCC:  Any last comments you would like to make?

Wade: I would like to thank everybody who has helped me with my build and who has given me good advice! You guys know who you are :)

New wheels / tyres (possibly slicks) next month and hopefully the gearbox bits later on this year!

Good work Wade

It's nice to see your bloody mindedness when it comes to lightness, it's something people tend to overlook and not go there. Light is good!

Slicks should make it a real weapon!

Looking forward to seeing it on the track again

Good work! What offset are your wheels and are you running spacers?

Currently on 20mm spacers, the offset is not written on the rim but it is more than likely 35P and the rim is 15x7.

The new wheels are 15x8 25P, this means it should be roughly the same width as it is now, only without the spacers :)

Nice ride mate!  What calipers did you get from wilwood? any custom brackets or bolt straight on?  I have a cusco LSD, ITB's, and bigger cams in in my VZR so I'll be sure to let you know how it goes... when it goes.

Wilwood Dynalite 4 Pot calipers, custom brackets from MRP in Auckland - Barry is very good to deal with.
