Auckland to Taupo Cruise, 31st October

As some of us have taken the day off work, I thought it would be a good idea to organise a cruise to the national meet.

It would be best to depart by around 2pm to avoid heavy traffic, so maybe meet up around 12-1pm?

Where would people like to meet? Somewhere on the North Shore like Albany Burger King, or somewhere a bit more central like Greenlane McDonald's?

Please post if you want to come, or if you have any ideas.


EDIT: We'll make it 1pm meet up at Drury BP/Mcdonald's, and leave around 2:30-3pm. If we all make it there earlier, we can leave earlier :)

Should we try meet a bit further south or at least green lane? Makes sense for people on south side of the bridge and further so they don't have to go in the opposite direction to Taupo? :)

Maybe even the BP/Mcdonalds off ramp past manukau - get a feed from the cafe or whatever before the journey :)

Yeah sure, we can meet up further south. Are you talking about the ones off Cavendish Dr? The McDonald's there sounds like a good place to meet.

why not the drury mcds? thats got a big carpark and a bp for filling up.

Oh yeah that's what i meant LOL. It's past Manukau, just by quite a bit :P.

That place would be perfect i usually always stop there either for feed or fill up or both before journey.

Say - meetup 1pm? leave around 1:30pm or just after? Maybe 2pm....

I am finishing work at 12, but gotta go home and load all my tools (might do it the night before) which is gonna take a little while...

Fair enough. Ill get my tools ready the night before and just leave straight from work @12 :D only take me 10min to get to drury.
Get to Taupo with plenty of time to setup and then have dinner.
