August 2014: Kevin (Kevo)

NZPPCC: When and why did you first get your Primera / Pulsar?

Kevo :  I bought it in September 2013 for use as a daily driver. I've owned one before, and my family has had a few in the past so I know they are great cars.

NZPPCC:  And what were your original plans for your car and how have they changed?

Kevo:   Initial plans were to tidy it up a bit, and have a nice tidy daily driver. The plan now is to have a reasonably quick track car that I can use as a daily driver.

NZPPCC:  What performance modifications have you made to your car?

NZPPCC: What mods have you made to the exterior/interior?

  Kevo:   Work RS-Z rims

NZPPCC:  What do you love best about your Primera / Pulsar?

Kevo:   It's sporty feel, even from stock.

NZPPCC:  Any future modifications planned that we should know about?

Kevo:   bigger brakes, bucket seats, racing steering wheel, adjustable coil overs.

NZPPCC:  If money was no object what would you do to your car?

Kevo:   Turn it into a BTCC P10 replica

NZPPCC:  Do you have any performance figures, 1/4 mile times or lap times?

Kevo:   Not yet. Hopefully I will have some lap times soon!

Kevo:   Burger Fuel Ford Freakout and a Banana Milkshake.

NZPPCC:  Favourite television programme?

  Kevo:    Top Gear UK

NZPPCC:  Are you married, have a partner or are you single and looking?

  Kevo:   Single

NZPPCC:  What sort of cars have you owned in the past?

  Kevo:   '91 P10 T4, and an '84 KP61 Toyota Starlet.

NZPPCC:  What is your favourite road to drive?

Kevo:   I dont really have a favourite as I havent been on many road trips, however the last couple of Auckland cruises were quite fun.

NZPPCC:  Do you prefer show, street, circuit or drag?
  Kevo:   Circuit

  Kevo:   P10

Kevo:   Through my older brother. He had a grey P10 T4 and found the club site through a google search. It has benefited me in many ways. A bunch of the club members have helped me with valuable information, sourced parts and even let me borrow some tools! The forums are filled with plenty of useful information which has helped me decide what I want to do to my car, and how to do it.

NZPPCC:  Any last comments you would like to make?

Kevo:   A big thank you to Brendan, Darryl, Tom, Chris and Melissa for helping me so far with my build. Without all your help I wouldnt have been able to do this at all.

Nice!  How's the car going now Kev?  It wasn't that long ago that you were doing the engine conversion.
Kieran: thank you for being amazing... Have my babies.

Its going pretty well so far thanks. I'm slowly sorting out minor issues that I'm having with it. I still have the o2 sensor to connect up, and a water leak to fix. I'm loving the new 2.5" exhaust I made up for it this week, exhaust VVL cam sounds nice!
