Accommodation Update:

DeBretts Spa Resort have provided us with the following options:

($175 per night) - 1 x One Bedroom Family Motel:
     Self contained, queen bed and single in the master bedroom, another single bed in the lounge area. Linen supplied, beds have electric blankets.  Shower and toilet. Kitchen with fridge, microwave. Sky TV with 5 in-house movie channels. Sleeps a couple and 2 singles.

($200 per night) - 2 x Two Bedroom Family Park Motel:
     Fully self-contained, one bedroom king bed, the second bedroom has a set of bunks and one single.  All linen supplied, all beds have electric blankets. Kitchen has microwave, hob, and fridge.  This unit is fully self-contained Sky TV with 5 in-house movie channels, shower and toilet.  One unit has wheelchair access. Sleeps a couple and 3 singles.

($130 per night) - 4 x Deluxe Cabins:
     King bed and set of bunks in an open plan room.  Linen and electric blankets supplied. Facilities include sink with hot and cold water, fridge, microwave, heatpump and Sky TV with 5 in-house movie channels. Does not have toilet or shower, but the campground facilities where you will find toilets and showers are adjacent to the cabin. Sleeps a couple and 2 singles

($120 per night) - 1 x Kitchen Cabin:
     Has a double bed with an electric blanket and a set of bunks in an open plan room.  Facilities include a fridge, microwave, heater, Sky TV with 5 in-house movie channels.   This cabin does not have its own shower or toilet, but is located adjacent to the facilities block where you will find kitchen, toilets, showers and laundry.  All linen is supplied. Sleeps a couple and 2 singles.

They are holding these under the name of Primera Car Club until 20 August and are giving us a 10% discount. To secure the booking, payment is required in full.

10% off equates to, respectively, $157.50, $180.00, $117.00 and $108.00, per night


The process of booking your accommodation goes like this:

Email (info@taupodebretts.com) or phone (07 378 8559) Taupo DeBretts and say you are from the Primera Car Club to receive your discount.
Organise your own accommodation; so either get into a cabin with friends or otherwise post up here and find someone in the same situation as you if you are wanting to combine with other members


The committee will probably grab a bigger option and everyone can hang out and meet up there

ill be coming along, would love to bring both cars but that just wont work

just did 130kms to $40

on another note just got 640kms out of my VE, about 42L of petrol
this makes it pretty much twice as economical as my turbo... but then again the turbo makes about 3 times the power

I have checked with the track and the the committee has agreed.

PASSENGERS are OK so long as they are attired the same as the driver, ie Helmet, cotton overalls and closed shoes.

Ill confirm give me the weekend to sort out finances etc, need to budget some RE002's gas etc, pretty sure i will end up coming.

I will also try convince Faz too and a few others, really wanna see Nick (Moles) car in action!

EDIT: Slightly still on topic, Firestone from tomorrow for 3 weeks are doing the buy 3 get one tyres free promo. Scoring my RE002's for around $188 per Tyre! Good opportunity to get some tyres before the track day guys.

Wow that's an awesome price, I think mine (same size) were $225 each when I got them so that's super cheap
