March 2014 Callum: PulsarGTI

NZPPCC: When and why did you first get your Primera / Pulsar?

Callum :

NZPPCC:  And what were your original plans for your car and how have they changed?

Callum:NZPPCC:  What performance modifications have you made to your car?

  Callum:

NZPPCC: What mods have you made to the exterior/interior?

Callum:NZPPCC:  What do you love best about your Primera / Pulsar?

  Callum:

NZPPCC:  Any future modifications planned that we should know about?

Callum:NZPPCC:  If money was no object what would you do to your car?

Callum: Buying a GTI-R and swapping most of the parts over would probably be the best idea, but if I was keeping the GTI it would be a 6-speed swap and monster stroked/bored SR24VE build, subtle widebody at the front to fit 15x8s, and some big-budget suspension work.

NZPPCC:  Do you have any performance figures, 1/4 mile times or lap times?

Callum: Only a 1:53.42 around Ruapuna, full track without the dipper with the SR18DE.

NZPPCC:

Callum: Fish & chips and a beer, nothing fancy!

NZPPCC:  Favourite television programme?

Callum: Blackadder, Black Books or Sherlock.

NZPPCC:  Are you married, have a partner or are you single and looking?

Callum: My long-suffering girlfriend of 4 years, Amy, who puts up with me prioritizing petrol over food.

NZPPCC:  What sort of cars have you owned in the past?

Callum:NZPPCC:  What is your favourite road to drive?

Callum: Summit Rd up in the Port Hills is great fun, for a longer trip Westport-Wanaka or Arthurs Pass.

NZPPCC:  Do you prefer show, street, circuit or drag?

Callum: Circuit, although I want to try a hill-climb at some point.

NZPPCC:

  Callum:

NZPPCC:

Callum:NZPPCC:  Any last comments you would like to make?

Congratulations and a very nice write up.

Yes, well I did have something line up for just after new years, but that never eventuated. If someone thinks they know of someone who would be  keen to be featured (and hasn't been before) , or if you have done something car related, that would  make a good feature, PM me and we can try and make the features as bit more regular.

Nice car Callum, I bet the fact that it's light and nimble would surprise a few other drivers on the Port Hills :)

The silver Exa? I'd love to, but I'd never be able to sell the GTI for anything close to what I've put into it, so it'll be around for a while yet. I'll have to try and convince the girlfriend that she needs an Exa  ;D
