Track Day at Ruapuna, don't have to be a Motosoc member, it's open to everyone, any car.

$80

Only need current WOF, fire extinguisher mounted solidly to a metal part of the car, full cotton overalls and a helmet.
Usually start at 8am, do a quick briefing and sessions of similarly fast cars until lunch, then open pits in the afternoon.

I remember taking a diesel peugeot 405 to one of these, was great fun thrashing a crappy old road car around.

Last one had everything from a 4K KP60 Starlet to a 600+hp R34 tarmac rally car. It's good fun in anything, first one I did my car was pretty much standard, still learned a lot.
