.NZPCC: When and why did you first get your Nissan? morrisman1:
NZPCC: And what were your original plans for your Nissan and have they changed? morrisman1: My sentra started as a daily, do-all runabout and for all intensive purposes was just that till the day I sold it. I never intended on modifying it all beyond the set of mini-lite mags but once I got into Clubsport out at Teretonga, it started the go-fast bug.
NZPCC: What performance modifications have you made to your cars? morrisman1:
NZPCC: What mods have you made to the exterior/interior? morrisman1:NZPCC: What do you love best about your Nissan? morrisman1:
NZPCC: Any future modifications planned that we should know about? morrisman1: For the Primera, nothing really apart from a daughterboard & tune.
For the race car, its always an ongoing venture of tinkering. My ambition is to have it set up in a way that it is keeping up with the turbo primeras without having the turbo. That means getting it to corner like a rollercoaster. Hence the aerodynamics that I have recently developed at the front end, it will eventually be a whole aero kit including under-body tray, diffuser, and the smallest rear wing I can get away with. Given I work as a flight instructor I find it hard to ignore the importance of good aerodynamics and am quite passionate at harnessing the power of the wind so to speak.
NZPCC: If money was no object what would you do to your Nissan? morrisman1:NZPCC: Do you have any performance figures, 1/4 mile times or lap times? morrisman1:NZPCC: morrisman1: Love seafood, and bacon. Mmm bacon.
NZPCC: Favourite television programme? morrisman1:NZPCC: Are you married, have a partner or are you single and looking? morrisman1: The later of those three.
NZPCC: What sort of cars have you owned in the past? morrisman1:
NZPCC: What is your favourite road to drive? morrisman1: The Crown Range between Queenstown and Wanaka is great but one road that always brings a cheesy smile to my face is the Moa Flat road going north between SH90 and Ettrick in central Otago. My first time driving a P11 was bringing a sedan down the west coast from Blenheim to Invercargill, and the west coast has got to be, without any hint of doubt, the best drive in New Zealand, if not a lot further abroad too. Basically SH6 all the way down is awesome. Thoroughly recommended and if anyone needs to come south, do not even think about taking the east coast for a second, you have been warned.
NZPCC: Do you prefer show, street, circuit or drag? morrisman1:NZPCC: N14, N15, P10, P11 or P12? morrisman1:NZPCC: morrisman1:NZPCC: Any last comments you would like to make? morrisman1:
