NZPPCC Member of the Month





  Our next featured member is DCEng. Hailing from the mighty Hamiltron and being a welder by trade, Daniel has no shortage of skill and enthusiasm for his cars. Daniel joined the club way back in 2007 and is the proud owner of a very tidy turbo P11 T4.   


NZPPCC: When and why did you first get your Primera / Pulsar?

DCEng: 

Owned my 97 P11 T4 for about 9yrs, got it for a good price



NZPPCC:  And what were your original plans for your car and how have they changed?

  DCEng: 

 Was just to DET it but have gone way past that now


NZPPCC:  What performance modifications have you made to your car?

  DCEng:

NZPPCC: What mods have you made to the exterior/interior?

  DCEng: 

 Interior is still standard apart for oil/water temp and boost gauges and ECU

Exterior
Camino front bumper
Camino side skirts
Camino rear bumper
SMX rims
Clear side indicators
Facelift head light
Facelift boot
Nismo rear wing
35% tints



NZPPCC:  What do you love best about your Primera / Pulsar?

  DCEng:   

Being T4 turboed



NZPPCC:  Any future modifications planned that we should know about?

  DCEng:NZPPCC:  If money was no object what would you do to your car?

  DCEng:   

Respray it and put a full race gearbox in it


 


NZPPCC:  Do you have any performance figures, 1/4 mile times or lap times?

  DCEng:   

206kw at the wheels on 98 done by Te Rapa automotive

Any food

NZPPCC:  Favourite television programme?

  DCEng:   

Anything that has fast cars
 


NZPPCC:  Are you married, have a partner or are you single and looking?

  DCEng:   

Only got married 5 weeks ago 23/3/13 and have 4 kids
 

NZPPCC:  What sort of cars have you owned in the past?

  DCEng:   

4x MK1 ford Escorts
1x MK2 ford Escort
Nissan Laurel with a RB25DET
XD ford Falcon panelvan
EB ford Falcon (was 4L 6 when I got it then had a 351c V8 put in it, was bored one day)
Nissan fairlady 1979 2x seater (RB20DET fitted)
3x 97 subaru SW one with the twin turbo and two with a 2000 V7 WRX rally motor and box in it


NZPPCC:  What is your favourite road to drive?

  DCEng:   

The road down to work from Hamilton to New Plymouth


NZPPCC:  Do you prefer show, street, circuit or drag?
   
  DCEng:   

SPEEDWAY all the way

A guy that worked for me was part of it so I joined then took ownership of the P11


NZPPCC:  Any last comments you would like to make?
