P10 won't start
« on: 11 March, 2018, 07:08:49 PM »
Hey guys,

I was dropping of a friend yesterday and noticed the fuel light turned on, knowing it can do at least another 40kms or more I started to accelerate in first. After hitting the 5000 rpm the car suddenly stopped and didn't want to start again. Got my friend to drop of some petrol to top it up by about 6 litres. Turned ignition on then off to remove any air in the fuel pump. Tried turning on again but still no start. Got my friend to help me tow it home and did some more tests. Removed the fuel line to the injector into a container and checked if enough fuel is being pumped and that seemed the be working fine. Took a video of us trying to start it but just started giving out white smoke. My guesses are clogged injectors, coils or maybe camshaft sensor. Just seeing if any of you guys had similar problems.

Found the issue, screw was undone on the rotor inside the distributor cap. Not sure how that would have happened but for anyone with a similar problem this could be the issue.
